affilated to the IOA

The club agreed at the clubs AGM to Affilate to the IOA, with a view to offering the members club rings next year.
with affilation  to the IOA would enable members to show birds with BLCC code ring at shows in Europe.
The secretary is looking in to the cost of this and will keep members informed via the newsletter and the website.

Gold in Bari for Blue Lizard.

YES, YES. A GOLD MEDAL AT THE 2014 WORLD SHOW IN BARI ITALY.
Stan Bolton won a gold medal with a Broken Cap Blue Hen which gained 94 points. 
I was there to see the bird. and what's more I was really pleased for this great Lizard man and for the BLCC.
UK can now say they have a World Champion Lizard Breeder.

Gould Ring 1,2,3

The Uk did very well at the Gold Ring show with Stan Bolton taking gold and silver and frist time exhibitor Les Evans taking bronze. This is a great achievement considering the Blue Lizard have only really been recongized for 4 years since the forming of the   the BLCC. I would love to see the same sort of result in Bari at the World show. fingers crossed!

NEW PATRONAGE FOR 2013

New for 2013 is the introduction of Rosette patronage. this will be 3 rosettes, 1 for best blue lizard and 1 each for best champion Lizard and best Novice blue lizard. Clubs can apply for this patronage to the clubs secretary David  Allen.
To be eligible for this patronage clubs are required to put on classes for Blue lizards in there schedules. the following classes is the minimum required:-
Clear Cap Blue Lizard
Broken Cap Blue Lizard
Non ~cap Blue lizard

World Show Report

The single gold medaL went Decker with 94 points this was a clear cap blue with good dark spangles and dark legs and feet.
silver medal went to /alfons tenbroke a really nice clear cap blue rally good spangles but not lining up to well when i looked at the bird a good amount of breast work and dark legs and feet.
bronze in the single class as we all know now went to our own MR lizard Stan bolton, another clar cap blue really good spangles nice and dark and straight. but i thought when I looked ...

World Show 2013

Bronze medal for UK Blue lizard at the world show in Hasselt. Stan Bolton has won bronze with a Blue lizard at the world show in hasselt with 92 points out of 32 Blues there was 5 other blues exhibited in this class from the UK.
And David Allen showed a stam of Clear Cap Blue Lizardsbut he was nort in the medals. but was the only stam to get full harmony points.

don't forget it the club get £1.50 for every bird benched. and this is the first of the three show where the new trophies are up for winning. plus the winner will get a medal to keep.

WORLD SHOW REPORT

I was please to say that the Blue lizard canary club of great britian members put on a good performace at the Show. with myself [David allen] showing 3 birds and getting 88/90/91 points the 91 points is 4th place one off a medal, Joe Coakley entered 1 blue which also gained 90 points. I was pleased see a increase in the numbers of Blue lizards shown 38 singles and 9 stams making a grand total of 74 Blue lizards.The stam was the greatest increase as last year there was only 3.

In just over a weeks time th will hold there 1st ever zone show at the National at Stafford. this will be the 1st ever show to have classes for Blue lizards. So if you have never seen a Blue lizard or you are intresed in seeing them for yourself visit the National on the 9th of October at Stafford show Ground.
